Civil War Trails Marker

Unveiled on 27 October 2012

 

More than 100 were in attendance for the unveiling ceremony and illumination commemoration for the Civil War Trails marker installed in 2012 that honors the 26 Civil War veterans buried in Flint Hill Cemetery and the adjoining Oakton Church of the Brethren graveyard.

The FHCA would like to thank the following people and groups for making our ceremony special:

17th Va. Infantry, Co. D, Pastor Chris Bowman, Sharon Bullova, Walter DeGroot, David Farmer, Jimmy Fleming, GIrl Scout Troop 980, Steve Hull, Patrick Lennon, James Lewis, Oakton Church of the Brethren, Jane Seeman, Ted Smith, Anne Stuntz and Jon Vrana.
